Looking back on it, I realize I did the right thing instinctively. You don't write for success. That takes part of your attention away from the writing. If you're really doing it, that's all you're doing: writing.

I was looking at an old bookcase and saw a book with dust on it. I pulled the book out, dusted it and read the first part of the text. It was the quote listed above. I read this book - "Heretics of Dune - a couple of decades ago. Herein is the answer to why I collect books.
