The dead town was centered around a somewhat deep but dry river. When the Great River was in flood, a small duke was moved aside and a vertible wall of water rushed down the parshed river bed. It eventually poured into an underground tank. When this was full, the tank entrance was closed. @@ The residents of this town awoke when the Great Bell mounted on a crypt was rung by that year's caretaker. Each resident came out from the shadows to begin moving water from the river to green houses where apparently dead flowers with enormous flowers waited posed as if for an absurd contest.@@ The water was mixed in great vats with carefully mixed powders laid out in the desert sands and covered by a cloak of night. Some said the powders were sent by dead Phairos from their reigning throans in their halls in the afterlife. Others thought this untrue even as they returned to life for only several months a year and returned to the halls of the dead, waiting upon their Pharos and waited for the next year.@@ When the Members of the Sublime Nation came, they bathed in the water of the well, distilled the seeds of the dead flowers which had returned to a semblance of life and they lived in the empty houses which glowed in the sunlight and burned with black ghostly flames at night.@@ Even they knew fear for one of them had drank too deeply.of the Dell's Water and seemingly died of water filled lungs. They left him face down on the ground for three days when he shreekef, with water pouring from lungs. @@ He arose, began inhaling and in a voice whose air gurguled through the water filling his distended lungs gasped "I must go! They call to me!"@@ He ran from them across the desert and through villages, across deserts and into the myths of religions and ghost stories and to a place that would not exist for years to come.@@ He was the living ghost of the Guard External for a Sanctuary for those pursuised...@@
