1991 Novel revisited (finally)@ This novel has two parts: 1. Rockford. Merge existing story with the "Lawyer's Story" from the QM1's point of view.@ 2. Returnee's Camp in San Diego. I will need to research:@ A) Returnee'd Camp@ B) If there is nothing on the Returnee's Camp, then I can steal from the WO/LDO School.@ C) I'll have to get the name of QM1's future girl friend from 2005 Novel!@ D). I wonder if I can get Kathie to write parts of her speaking? (Probably not.) 3. Anticipates going to sea. Meets her, falls into infatuation (both) and asks to go shore duty. This leads to conversation with CO who realizes QM1 wants to go to sea but does not know this himself. @ 4. CO invites CM/C of a Cruiser to visit. Asks him for his opinion. Could this LN1 survive in a small command? CM/C says yes, I believe so. CO asks so you have an Engineman who could go into this group? @ 5. Rewrite this to include putting QM1 on the LEE.@ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personnel and how they got to the USA ELBERT C LEE:@ Put the addendum with the hiring decisions in Chapter Two.@ @ PC's thesis went to D South CNO for Special Projects. He discusses personnel he wants. Says he needs an CO who is also COB. He is offered a DEAL HMCS who commanded a small boat in 'Nam and who has graduated from Army Green Beret Medical training.@ Asks for an Army of Marine NO with combat experience. DCNO has to get back to him.@
